The Earth Systems and Climate Change Hub of the National Environmental Science Programme (NESP) recently released a report titled ‘Climate Change in the Northern Territory – State of the science and climate change impacts’.
The NESP worked with the Office of Climate Change to prepare an accessible and comprehensive report aimed at providing Territorians with an easy-to-understand summary of climate change; what it is and how it is affecting the Northern Territory. The report is intended to inform Territorians on how our climate is changing and serve as a call to act to both reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to its impacts.
This report is an important resource to inform policy and assist the Government, industry, and the community to make decisions that build a climate-smart future. It may be the catalyst for many to take action.
